Fallen Angels Reviews gave OUT OF MY LEAGUE a Recommended Read!

"Out of My League puts forth an interesting, often times hilarious concept, and Therese MacFarland packs this tale with rapier wit, poignant vulnerability, and the overcoming of insecurities. Jack is dumbfounded and intrigued at Lucetta’s offer, but when the actuality of their bargain hits him, his personal honor shines through. Lucetta is perfectly crafted; she's funny, sweet, and untouched by the dog-eat-dog mentality of Hollywood. I was entertained and enchanted by this story, and the scenes with Patsy, Lucetta’s bodyguard/friend/supporting character, were just side-splitting at times. Snappy dialogue, an exotic locale, and steamy intimacy make Out of My League my choice for Recommended Read and a perfect 5 Angel rating!"

Romance Junkies says:
"OUT OF MY LEAGUE is definitely one hot read that left this reviewer feeling totally satisfied. Reading this great story had me wishing I had my own hot detective to teach me the art of seduction. Therese MacFarland did an awesome job in creating characters that were likable and a story that was both enjoyable and sensual. If you are in the mood for a short but satisfying read I would definitely recommend reading OUT OF MY LEAGUE."

Sensual Romance Reviews says:
Therese MacFarland has embraced these characters, softening them with a gentle touch and bringing them to life for her readers' enjoyment. These characters are not perfect which makes them very realistic and endearing. Lucy is adorable and easy to like; Jack is wonderfully masculine, eager to be her champion. This is a hot steamy book that is a quick, very satisfying read.

In the Library Reviews 8.7 Gargoyles! "Therese MacFarland did an awesome job with Out of My League; it's not every author who can write both long and short novels that grip you from page one. She made you feel bad for Lucy when she was feeling unsure, and annoyed at her for not speaking her mind. Watching Jack flip flop from wanting Lucy to trying to keep his distance from her made me sympathetic to him. Therese MacFarland did a wonderful job."

Excerpt:

"Jack?" Lucy could barely hear her own voice. "What's wrong?"

"I can't do this. I thought I could, but it's ridiculous. I feel like an idiot. I've never humiliated myself like this, at least not since I was in love with my second grade teacher. Here's your check." He tore up the check and let it flutter to the sand. "I don't care how beautiful you are, I can't sit around waiting for you to tell me to kiss you. It's unnatural. I decide when I'm going to kiss a woman. Got that?"

"Please, Jack, it wasn't an insult. Honestly. I was desperate. I'm supposed to be the siren in this movie, this week. I'll freeze up and get fired, I know it." She sighed and a tear fell on her cheek. "I just wanted you to help me unfreeze. Warm me up a little." She shook her head. He didn't understand. How could he? The man probably hadn't frozen up around a member of the opposite sex since he was thirteen. "Practice," she tried again. And realized how stupid she sounded.

"Why me?" His voice sounded very far away.

"Why do you think? You're hot." Lucy suddenly realized how close he was, how good he smelled, and looked…
